I love making popsicles in the summer because they make such a fun and healthy treat for the kids (and for grown-ups too) to help beat the summer heat. I love experimenting with different combinations of ingredients, flavours and textures and coming up with new popsicle ideas. Check out my other favourite popsicle recipes: Banana and avocado creamy popsicles and Cherry yogurt popsicles.
Popsicles are also so easy to make, don’t require any cooking, and are the perfect way to include and “hide” healthy ingredients. Perfect for picky eaters too!
A dreamy and healthy combination of taste and creaminess
For this particular recipe, I used deliciously ripe nectarines (or peaches). I believe there are not many things most delicious than peaches peaked at the peak of ripeness. So sweet and juicy you just want to keep eating them!
To add creaminess and more sweetness, I layered the pureed peaches with layers of yogurt and banana. Instead of simply mixing all the ingredients together, layering the popsicles gives them a more fun and pretty look and makes the combination of flavours and textures even more interesting. If you wish, you can even add a hint of natural vanilla extract to make them taste even more intriguing.
This really makes a dreamy snack or dessert that you can enjoy all summer long. Try it to believe me!

The other thing I really love about these popsicles is that they are made with all-natural ingredients and they don’t have any added sugars.
The yogurt adds proteins, making these popsicles more nutritious and filling, and is a great source of beneficial probiotics that can promote gut health. The best choice is using homemade yogurt, but store-bought will work as well. Choose a good quality, natural yogurt with no additives and preferably organic and from grass-fed cows.
Adding grass-fed collagen to this recipe can also increase the protein content and add all the benefits of collagen (read more about collagen here). My to-go choice of collagen is Vital protein collagen from grass-fed, pasture-raised beef.
