What’s better than a plump and sweet ripe peach and better than a refreshing popsicle on a hot summer day? I’ll tell you. These peach popsicles layered with creamy yogurt and banana! Delicious, fruity, creamy, refreshing, and made with healthy natural ingredients. Simply all you need.

I love making popsicles in the summer because they make such a fun and healthy treat for the kids (and for grown-ups too) to help beat the summer heat. I love experimenting with different combinations of ingredients, flavours and textures and coming up with new popsicle ideas. Check out my other favourite popsicle recipes: Banana and avocado creamy popsicles and Cherry yogurt popsicles.

Popsicles are also so easy to make, don’t require any cooking, and are the perfect way to include and “hide” healthy ingredients. Perfect for picky eaters too!

A dreamy and healthy combination of taste and creaminess

For this particular recipe, I used deliciously ripe nectarines (or peaches). I believe there are not many things most delicious than peaches peaked at the peak of ripeness. So sweet and juicy you just want to keep eating them!

To add creaminess and more sweetness, I layered the pureed peaches with layers of yogurt and banana. Instead of simply mixing all the ingredients together, layering the popsicles gives them a more fun and pretty look and makes the combination of flavours and textures even more interesting. If you wish, you can even add a hint of natural vanilla extract to make them taste even more intriguing.

This really makes a dreamy snack or dessert that you can enjoy all summer long. Try it to believe me!

The other thing I really love about these popsicles is that they are made with all-natural ingredients and they don’t have any added sugars.

The yogurt adds proteins, making these popsicles more nutritious and filling, and is a great source of beneficial probiotics that can promote gut health. The best choice is using homemade yogurt, but store-bought will work as well. Choose a good quality, natural yogurt with no additives and preferably organic and from grass-fed cows.

Adding grass-fed collagen to this recipe can also increase the protein content and add all the benefits of collagen (read more about collagen here). My to-go choice of collagen is Vital protein collagen from grass-fed, pasture-raised beef.

Ingredients for these creamy yogurt, banana and peach popsicles

  • 4 or 5 tablespoons yogurt
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 3 ripe peaches or nectarines
  • 1 scoop grass-fed collagen powder optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon natural vanilla extract optional

How to make these creamy yogurt, banana and peach popsicles

  1. Blend together the yogurt and banana using a food processor or immersion blender until smooth. Add collagen powder and vanilla extract (optional). Set aside.
  2. Wash, peel, and cut the peaches or nectarines and blend them as well until they are a smooth puree.
  3. Pour about 1 or two tablespoons of yogurt and banana mixture in the popsicle molds, followed by 1 tablespoon of peach puree. Alternate the layers until each mold is full.
  1. Insert popsicle sticks and freeze in upright position until hard (at least 4 hours).

Creamy yogurt, banana and peach layered popsicles (no added sugars)

Cook Time4 hrs
Course: Snack
Keyword: healthy snacks, no added sugars, popsicles
Servings: 6

Equipment

  • 1 food processor or immersion blender
  • 6 popsicle molds

Ingredients

  • 4 or 5 tablespoons yogurt
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 3 ripe peaches or nectarines
  • 1 scoop grass-fed collagen powder optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon natural vanilla extract optional

Instructions

  • Blend together the yogurt and banana using a food processor or immersion blender until smooth. Add collagen powder and vanilla extract (optional). Set aside.
  • Wash, peel, and cut the peaches or nectarines and blend them as well until they are a smooth puree.
  • Pour about 1 or two tablespoons of yogurt and banana mixture in the popsicle molds, followed by 1 tablespoon of peach puree. Alternate the layers until each mold is full.
  • Insert popsicle sticks and freeze in upright position until hard (at least 4 hours).

Notes

Both vanilla extract and collagen powder are optional for this recipe. Vanilla adds an extra note of taste and sweetness that goes together perfectly with the ripe peaches; collagen powder can be added for a boost of proteins and health benefits and won’t change the taste of the popsicles.
To easily unmold the popsicles, run them under warm water for a few seconds.
