Banana and avocado creamy popsicles (no added sugars)

Nothing beats a frozen treat in a hot summer day! These healthy homemade creamy popsicles combine the natural sweetness of bananas and the creamy texture of avocados. Full of vitamins, minerals, proteins and healthy fats, these popsicles will soon be your favorite summer snack.

Equipment

  • 1 food processor or immersion blender
  • 6 popsicle molds

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk (or water, or coffee)
  • 1 scoop collagen optional
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder or 1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract optional

Instructions

  • Blend all ingredients using a food processor or hand immersion blender until smooth.
  • Pour into (6) popsicles molds.
  • Place in the freezer in upright position and freeze until completely solid (usually 3-6 hours).

Notes

You can use milk or water for these popsicles, depending on your personal preference. Full-fat milk will make the popsicles extra creamy and add extra proteins and fats. You can even use 1/2 cup of coffee if you're making this recipe for grown-ups.
Even though these popsicles are delicious with just bananas and avocados, you can add some extra flavor adding some cocoa powder or natural vanilla extract.
Collagen powder is also optional, but add some extra proteins and boosts the gut-healthy (and all the other) benefits of these popsicles.
I like using stainless steel popsicle molds. To easily remove the popsicles from their molds once frozen, place them in some warm water for a moment.
