Nothing beats a frozen treat in a hot summer day! These healthy homemade creamy popsicles combine the natural sweetness of bananas and the creamy texture of avocados. With no added sugars, full of vitamins, minerals, proteins and healthy fats, these popsicles will soon be your favorite summer snack.

Homemade popsicles are also a wonderful way to sneak in extra nutrients. Picky eaters won’t even notice the avocado or collagen tucked inside, but their bodies will thank you. Refreshing, creamy, and wholesome, these banana avocado popsicles are about to become your favorite summer snack.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
These popsicles are the perfect balance of taste and nourishment. Bananas bring natural sweetness, avocado makes them irresistibly creamy, and yogurt adds a tangy richness along with gut-healthy probiotics. Best of all, the recipe comes together in just a few minutes and then the freezer does the rest.
Unlike most store-bought popsicles (which are packed with sugar and fillers), these are made with just a handful of real ingredients. Each one has only about 5 grams of natural sugar, balanced with healthy fats and protein, making them a smarter option than fruit alone.
They’re also versatile! Add cocoa powder for a chocolatey version, or a splash of coffee for a grown-up treat. You can even sneak in collagen powder for an extra protein boost and all its skin, gut, and joint benefits.

Nutrient Benefits
Even though bananas and avocados aren’t local or seasonal for many of us, they are packed with nutrients that make them worth enjoying once in a while, especially in summer when our bodies crave refreshing, hydrating foods.
- Bananas provide carbohydrates for quick energy, along with fiber, vitamin C, B vitamins, potassium, magnesium, and manganese. They’re excellent for replenishing electrolytes lost through sweating on hot days.
- Avocados are rich in heart-healthy unsaturated fats, vitamin E, vitamin K, folate, and minerals like potassium and magnesium. They also contain antioxidants that support skin health.
- Yogurt adds protein, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin B12, and probiotics for gut health. Choose full-fat yogurt for extra creaminess and satiety. I like using my homemade Bulgarian yogurt.
- Collagen (optional) boosts protein while supporting healthy joints, bones, skin, and digestion. Read all the benefits of collagen and gelatin in this post.
Together, these ingredients make a nutrient-rich frozen snack that fuels your body while keeping you cool and refreshed.
Ingredients For THese Banana and Avocado Creamy Popsicles
Bananas. Choose ripe bananas for natural sweetness. One popsicle contains only about ⅓ of a banana, so the sugar is balanced and not overwhelming.
Avocado. Adds healthy fats, vitamins, and makes the popsicles extra creamy. Use ripe avocado for the smoothest texture.
Yogurt. Full-fat yogurt works best for creaminess and nutrition. Homemade yogurt is wonderful, but plain organic store-bought works too.
Milk, water, or coffee – Milk gives extra richness, water keeps it light, and coffee makes an adult-friendly variation.
Collagen powder (optional). My go-to is Vital Proteins collagen from grass-fed, pasture-raised beef. Great for an invisible protein boost.
Flavor additions (optional). A spoonful of cocoa powder or a splash of vanilla extract takes these popsicles to the next level.
